What we store

Your sign-in identities (the name, email or GitHub login and ID your provider shares), your username and display names, your devices, the worlds you belong to and your progress in them. For each coding session: its title, its first prompt, its state, token counts and code statistics such as line and commit counts. World chat is passed to the players there and not stored.

What stays on your computer

Your conversations after their first prompt, source files, environment variables, history from before you connected and provider credentials. Kinmo never uploads them.

Who sees what

Players in your world see your character, where you are, your pets and whether they are working. A session’s title and first prompt reach someone only when you share that session; nobody else can read its history or control it. A world’s owners and admins may publish a public view of its outdoor scene, which shows no names.

How we use it

To run Kinmo: sign-in, syncing worlds, measuring the work your pets do, billing, keeping accounts secure and stopping abuse. Security logs keep identifiers only, never prompts or message text. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Services we rely on

Google or GitHub when you sign in with them (and GitHub for repositories connected to Kinmo), Stripe for payments (we never see full card numbers) and our hosting providers. Each receives only what its part needs.

How long

Session activity and world events are kept for 24 hours and backups for 30 days. Statistics, wallets and progress last as long as your account.

Your choices

Stop sharing a session at any time, turn Kinmo off with its Enabled switch, unlink sign-in methods, leave or delete worlds, or ask us to delete your account. Deleting a chat in Kinmo does not delete the coding tool’s own history.
