Every rule of Kinmo in a sentence or two. Each one links to its full explanation in the docs.
Worlds and getting around
Owner, admin, builder, member and visitor decide who builds, invites and plays. No role grants access to anyone's sessions.
A link and a typable code for one role, limited in time and joins. A world holds at most 5 players.
Intro, your name and character, this computer's folders and your coding tools, the first time you open a world as a member.
An unskippable tour of your world's own buildings and farm that finishes each step the moment you do it, in any order.
Play to walk and farm, Work for your sessions, Build to edit the map. One toolbar at the top right switches between them.
Walk with WASD, click anything to open it, walk through doors, and travel between the city and your farm from the travel bar.
Twelve slots of farm items: hold one to plant, feed or equip with a click.
Press E on your farm for Backpack, Pets, Farm stats, Wardrobe and Visit.
Hold animations still or cap the frame rate; the game works the same.
Pets and coding work
Registered automatically from your connected tools in shared folders. Active for an hour after activity, listed for 24 hours.
What you choose to tell people about a session: task, phase, progress, blocker and result.
Message supported sessions, or suggest guidance that waits for the owner's approval.
Ask one shared session's owner for help; they accept, decline or answer privately.
A badge counting your sessions that need your attention, with optional notifications.
One persistent pet per coding tool you use. It acts out only what its sessions really report.
A pet with several working sessions glows through stages I to IV and overdrive, and works faster on your farm.
Name your pets, choose their species and dress them, one cosmetic per slot; pick your character.
Some looks are free, some unlock with a pet's sessions, commits or tokens, and some come from your collection.
Farming
1 base work per 250 output tokens, or per 2 committed lines (at most 1,000 lines per change).
At most 1,200 base work is credited per UTC day; the rest is recorded as capped.
Level, equipment, collection constellations and town projects raise a pet's output, up to its cap.
Supercharge bonuses and caps are tripled with one working pet and doubled with two, so small crews benefit most.
Pets plant, water, restock wood and stone, fill the silo, then gather, in that order of priority.
Pets harvest ripe crops and replant empty plots with your seeds, choosing the crop you hold least of.
Sprouting, young, grown and ripe; a ripe crop takes no more work.
Stores spare fields work and spends it on the next crops you plant.
Up to 4 blocks of plots, 32 plots in all; the first is open from the start.
8 work per wood and 12 per stone, for upgrades and town projects.
Feed crops to raise a pet to level 10; each level adds to its output.
One tool per pet, boosting the job it suits.
Place, turn and remove decorations from your backpack; paint grass free and paths for 1 clover a tile.
See a teammate's farm, crops and pets, never their wallet, backpack or production.
Town and trading
Your personal game money in each world, earned only by playing and never converted.
Sells your items for clovers, up to 9,999 at a time; 10% more after the Market stalls project.
The seed shop, pet shop and general store sell seeds, tools, looks and decorations, up to 99 at a time.
Everyone contributes items and clovers to shared buildings that help every member.
Owners, admins and builders place decorations from their farm backpack in the square.
See teammates walking the city with their favourite pets while they play.
Spend clovers at the clover pond for a random collection entry, on the regular or a limited banner.
On a limited banner, the featured entry is picked outright for 50% of the wishes that land on its rarity, and shares the rest equally with that rarity's other entries.
Each copy of a collection entry past the first raises its constellation, up to 7 copies, adding bonuses or sparkle.
Looks rolled past 7 copies refund clovers by rarity.
Everything you collect belongs to your account and shows in every world.
Swap up to 8 items and clovers per side with a teammate; both sides confirm, and offers expire after 72 hours.
Link up to 50 worlds under one guild with a join code.
City building and rewards
A world's shared coins and gems, spent by owners, admins and builders on the city.
The first building is a Workshop; Studio and Library need a Workshop with two floors; the Guild Hall needs a Studio.
Inside the map, on land and never overlapping; the server checks footprint, price and permission at once.
Add floors to functional buildings; each brings desks, its own interior and stairs.
+2 desks on a floor, once per floor.
Up to 5 levels per building, raising rewards for work done at its desks.
Up to 2 world-wide levels once the world has 2 functional buildings.
One bonus-bearing desk per person per world, released after 12 hours without your activity.
Draw rooms with walls, doors and windows; private rooms hide their contents from people without access.
Decorative pieces for floors, bought with coins; no income and no refunds.
Paint terrain for free; each new path tile costs a coin in the city and a clover on your farm.
Commits, lines, pull requests and confirmed fixes earn coins and gems for the treasury.
Daily limits per person, world and repository keep earning even.
Strict waits for GitHub or a maintainer; relaxed pays capped, unverified local rewards.
A daily and weekly coin budget per account that replaces the reward table after an explicit operator cutover.
Privacy and sharing
Each computer chooses which folders each world may see; nothing else leaves it.
Kinmo watches your connected tools by default and never controls them for anyone.
Share a session, project or folder with chosen people and rights; roles never grant them.
